| Thanksgiving |
While it was hard to be away from family during the holiday, our first Thanksgiving in China was full of great memories. On Thursday we had one of Aaron's classes over to our home. We had a great time with them. They got to talk to our parents on skype, which they really enjoyed.
 On Saturday, we celebrated Thanksgiving with fellow Americans in the area. Somehow, someone was able to find a turkey, so we enjoyed a great meal together. After the feasting, Aaron took part in the football festivities.
On Saturday night we had another party with students. A group of about 60 students rotated between four apartments in our building where they got to enjoy "pin the tail on the turkey," thanksgiving songs, food, and card games. We were the card game station, so we taught the students how to play spoons. They loved it! We had to move our newly purchased and decorated Christmas tree, because in all the rucous, it almost fell over!

Great pics. Sounds like you had a fun day. I haven't played spoons in ages! I can't even remember how to play. When are you going to teach them a proper card game? Like Euchre?
We are getting a new au pair. She is Chinese. Just thought I'd share. :)

I actually saw a boxed game of Spoons in the store. $20 for plastic forks and 2 decks of cards! Glad to hear you had such a fun holiday weekend. I love the pic of the two girls making a heart with their hands.

Belated Happy Thanksgiving. I really enjoy being able to see where you are and your students. They look like a great bunch of kids. We miss you but are so happy for the work you are doing. Always in our thoughts.
