Oh, she now has a Chinese name. It's
Ai Li (pronounced "Eye Lee"). Ai means love and Li means beautiful. Together it sounds similar to Ellie. Our students helped us choose it. They were quite proud of themselves to bestow the American baby with her Chinese name. We like it because she is indeed our beautiful love.
I'm jealous... I want a Chineese name!
